Social designer, educator and design researcher.
With 20 years of experience developing participatory learning, design and co-creation practices across diverse cultural and educational contexts her work explores how making, reflection and collective inquiry can enable people to engage with complex social and environmental challenges.
Through founding and leading Design-a-thon Works, Butterfly Works and Nairobits, she has developed creative methodologies, learning environments and collaborative processes with children, young people, educators, designers and communities in more than 30 countries. Across this work, she facilitated learning-through-making, experimentation and co-creation as ways of generating knowledge, agency and new perspectives.
Now focused on making more Civic Participation for children in municipalities possible through shifting adult mindsets.
